General Rate information

Tumbling River Ranch is very proud to be a true family owned and operated ranch. We value and cherish our family time and family vacations so much and will never take for granted the honor of hosting your family at our home.

After a week at Tumbling River, we absolutely want your family to feel that your vacation was awesome and worth every penny. We do everything we can to provide you with the most comfortable accommodations, beautiful facilities, and fun filled activities for the entire family. Keeping your cost down and keeping our rates competitive is our first priority.

What’s included in your rates: The cost of the Sunday-to-Sunday stay includes accommodations (rooms have private baths and fireplaces), meals and snacks, facilities (heated pool, hot tubs), personalized horsemanship program, children’s programs, evening activities, guided hiking programs, fitness and wellness programs, live music, rock climbing, shooting sports, fishing on our private ponds, vehicle trips, and the overnight pack-trip.

What are the additional costs? The additional items that are not included in the above rates are: a 3.9% CO state sales tax and a service charge of 15%. We are a non-tipping ranch. Should you find an employee that added a special touch to your stay, please feel free to tip them individually.

Optional activities and services: We want to offer as many activities and services as we can to make your family vacation perfect! Tumbling River offers: an all-day white-water rafting trip with Wilderness Aware Rafting Company out of Buena Vista, CO ($81 per person), airport transfers to and from Denver International Airport ($400 round-trip for the entire family up to 6 people) massage therapy (the range runs $60-$95), exclusive guided fly fishing excursions with professional guides, full service bar, evening babysitting (for children under 3 years old), and family portraits. No cash is needed. All of these charges are added to your bill and settled at the end of the week.

Deposit Policy: We require a deposit of $600 per person. This deposit is due within 10 of making your reservation. Should you need to cancel, the deposit (less 10%) is refundable if notice of cancellation is received at least 60 days in advance of your arrival date. Inside 60 days of your arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance of your rates is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Taxes, service charges and any other additionals will be paid at check out. Reservations made within 60 days prior to arrival must be 100% prepaid at the time of booking. Because of our small size, cancellations or rescheduling of dates affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation or date change gives us little chance of filling the space due to our remote location and short operating season. For these reasons we uphold a strict cancellation policy. Tumbling River Ranch highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance.

Final Payment: We appreciate and encourage a check payment. We accept cash, travelers checks, and personal or business checks. We also take the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
